Where do schedules, scores, rosters and stats come from?

MaxPreps is powered by Athletic Directors, Head Coaches and members of the coaching staff entering the majority of information you see listed on MaxPreps.

Where does the Team information come from?

Athletic directors, head coaches, and members of the coaching staff are granted administrative access to manage the information for their teams.

They can personally publish scores, rosters, schedules and statistics on their team page. It's the coaches responsibility to make sure the information is up to date throughout the season.

We will accept schedules, rosters and scores via the instructions here.  If the score has not been entered by a coach or AD, fans can submit scores for approval through the Report a Score

Players Stats

Stats are entered through the head coach or someone one the coaching staff. We rely solely on the coaching staff to provide any stats. If you do not see any stats published, please reach out to the coaching staff responsible.

How does MaxPreps verify the stats are accurate?

Stats are entered through the head coach or someone one the coaching staff.

We rely solely on the coaching staff to provide any stats. MaxPreps has many validations in place to catch "bad" stats from being entered. For example, passing yards must equal receiving yards in football and assists can not be more than points scored in basketball.

If you do not see any stats published, please reach out to the coaching staff responsible.

If stats are questioned by another coach or user of MaxPreps, MaxPreps will reach out to the coach to verify the stats have been entered correctly.
