How about flipping the schedule so the most recent game/matches are at the top.

Provide extra categories for recording games/matches examples (Jamboree, League, Non-League, State Tournament) and/or provide customizable categories. For example, in volleyball we played in 1) Jamboree 2) Pre-season tournament 3) League - within our division 4) League in another division 5) League tournament 6) District Tournament and 7) State tournament.

Update rankings at the end of the year - for instance in Washington State 4A Volleyball you have the team that finished 5th at state ranked #1 and the team that finished 1st ranked 2nd. Puyallup - who didn't even make the State Tournament is ranked in the top 5?
