What MaxPreps powers
Rankings are used to determine playoff seeding. MaxPreps provides state-championship brackets and school and score widgets, and schedules and scores are synced from the CIFHome platform to MaxPreps.
For coaches
The CIF asks all coaches to submit complete box-score information, including stats, to power multiple CIF initiatives. The state and some section offices use MaxPreps rankings as part of their seeding, so coaches should keep scores accurate.
