To become an Approved Scorer on MaxPreps, you must have reported 3 correct scores to MaxPreps.
If a score is missing from a schedule, you will have an option to Report Final Score. Once you have entered the final score, our support team will review the information before posting it.
If the score is approved, you will receive one point towards your goal of three to achieve Approved Scorer status.
How to become an All-Star Scorer?
All-Star Scorer status is given to one person who will be assigned to every game for their team for the entire season. You're able to opt out of games that you're unable to attend.What's a Quality Game?
Here are some tips for making your game awesome for the fans:
- Check in so fans know you are there.
- Enter all scoring updates.
- Enter summaries after each quarter in the commentary.
- Provide game commentary periodically.
- Enter big plays, possession updates, and red zone alerts - football.
- Enter fouls and timeouts - basketball.
If you complete one quality game with 15+ posts, we immediately invite you to score the next game. Once you complete two quality games, we invite you to obtain access as an All-Star Status.

You can sign up to Be a Scorer on mobile and provide live scoring from the team schedule page. If the page says Game Not Available that means the team already has a scorer.
Once you sign up, fans will know that you will be at the game and they can count on you for all the updates!
