GameChanger Stats Not Syncing to MaxPreps?

Trouble syncing stats from GameChanger to MaxPreps? 

Check out some of the common reasons why your stats may not be syncing to MaxPreps automatically.

Confirm Syncing with MaxPreps is Enabled

Enabling the sync to MaxPreps can be quickly overlooked at the beginning of a season. Without enabling the sync, your stats will not be sent to MaxPreps. Quickly check to see if your sync is enabled or not!

Confirming Sync settings via the GameChanger app:

If you are using the new GameChanger app, you can check to see if the sync is enabled in the stat settings page for your team. To do so:

1. Open up the GameChanger app and select your team.

2. In the top right corner, select the gear icon.

3. Select, "Stat Settings."

4. Below the Stat Privacy section, you will find another section for MaxPreps. If the sync is enabled, you will see a checkmark on the right-hand side.

If the sync is not enabled, go ahead and select, "Yes, sync stats with MaxPreps" and your stats will begin to show in MaxPreps!

*Keep in mind if there were already games with stats on GC prior to syncing, those stats will not sync over to MP automatically. We suggest you make the game active on GC, add/remove a play, and finish the game again. This will trigger the stats to sync over to MP. You will need to manually import the stat files for games already played through your coach admin account. Any future games should sync automatically as long as your team follows the guidelines below. 


Confirming Team Information is Accurate for Stats to Auto-Sync

If your team is not in the correct season, type, level, or linked to the correct school, please reach out to GameChanger and they should be able to get this corrected for you.

Is your team set up in the correct season, type, level, and with the correct school?

1. Open up the GameChanger app and select your team.

2. In the top right corner, select the gear icon.

3. Select, "Team Info"

If your team is not in the correct season, type, level, or linked to the correct school, please reach out to GameChanger and they should be able to get this corrected for you.

Does your GameChanger roster match what you have on MaxPreps?

Keep in mind, if you have added anyone to your roster, or if anyone was added in the game stats on GameChanger, they will also need to be added to your roster on MaxPreps for the stats to sync automatically. If you have already scored a game that had an added player that was not on MaxPreps, the stat file won't sync automatically. See heading titled
"Sync set up correctly and still not seeing stats sync over?" on how to get that stat file imported.

Does your GameChanger schedule (dates and times) match what you have on your schedule on MaxPreps?

Keep in mind, if you have added a game to your schedule on GameChanger, you will need to add that game on MaxPreps as well for the stats to have somewhere to sync to
If you have already scored a game that wasn't added to your MaxPreps schedule, you will need to add the game first before then importing the stats. See below for more on how to get that state file imported

Sync set up correctly and still not seeing stats sync over?

If you have admin access to the team, follow the instructions below. If you do not have access to the team, you can request access from your membership profile if you are the coach of the team or you can request to be a Volunteer and gain permission from the coach as a statistician for the team. If neither of these options suit you, feel free to submit a ticket.

1. In your admin, head to the schedule page. Click the pencil icon next to the game of interest and then, "Enter Stats". (If the game does not have a score yet you will need to enter the score first) 

2. You will click to enter GameChanger stats, taking you to the box score page where you should see a GameChanger drop-down menu. (If you do not see the below menu, please reach out to GameChanger to make sure your team is synced to the correct school on MaxPreps.)

3. If you do not see the stat file listed in the drop-down menu, please reach out to GameChanger to send the stat file over again and to ensure your team is the only team linked to MaxPreps. If none of your stat files seem to sync over automatically and everything is set up correctly, please submit a ticket and we'd be happy to take a look into this for you to hopefully save you some time approving those stat files!
